FYI a corporate Tragedy by Barbara Marsh

Someone wanted that book on here and people said no longer in print cant find it any wear other the used on Ebay for $200 some bucks. My wife got me it for Christmas brand new from Super scout specialist inc. My wife is as frugal as me and would never spend 200 bucks on a book. It is a paperback book and do not know what she spent but defiantly not 200 bucks. Just thought I would pass that along so the person that was wanting it may read this post.

It's scanned & posted on archive.org. Just set up an account & you can at least read it for free for up to 14 days. Don't recall how long you have to
wait after that before you can read it again. It's not a hard copy, but it isn't $200 either.

Also, I'm sure some library somewhere still has it on their shelf. There's a good chance if it hasn't been checked out in a while, 10 years around
here, it can be sent to the discard shelf. Only paid $5 for mine that way. No shipping either as I was already there shuffling through the National
Geo's for any pre 1960 editions.

I bought that book several years ago when it first came out. I know I didn't pay $200, I think I paid $50 or 60 at the time. It is a very good book about the downfall of IH.

Our local library has a copy on the shelf.

It is a fascinating book detailing the corporate greed and mismanagement that caused the decline - and ultimately the demise - of IHC.

Incidentally photo giant Eastman Kodak - where I was employed nearly 30 years engineer - followed an eerily similar path into bankruptcy 20 years after IHC. About 60,000 dedicated workers lost their jobs in that debacle.

I don't know if this right , man I was working for at that time told me IHC had not paid anything on principal for several years.
Than when the 80s financial mess came around lenders said we need some money on debut. IHC didn't have money to pay up. They weren't only
company caught up in that mess.

I paid $35 from them at IH truck show years ago. See it has gone up to $40 now. Read some of it, but its pretty dry reading for me. As its the corporate business world.

Couldn’t they just put a picture of a ta one page and 2+2 on
the second page and ended the story there 😂
