App for calculating acreage

Remember seeing here someone who had
satellite views of fields and had plotted
corners and such to calculate the size.
Anybody recommend an app for smarter-than-
me phone to do this?

We used this one. Worked great. Can walk it or draw it manually.

Agriplot is one I used before to map/calculate size of fields. Farmsprayer app is good for spraying and spreading fertilizer.

Wow, that works really well! I drew a line around the property where our cabin is, I think it's 80 acres, and it calculate 79.8! Just lucky I'm sure, as most of the property lines are wooded, but I've walked them many times.

Have not done it for a few years but even back then you could do it in Google Earth. Just mouse click points until the shade is the shape you want.
On Desktop or laptop computer, not tablet or phone.

About 10 years ago, I marked the various corners of our property with old steel pipes, then put some 4” diameter PVC pipe over those, for visibility. Now, I can go to google earth and clearly see those pipes. It’s a snap to calculate area and distance using it.

I use a app on my smart phone called measure map. Drop some pins riding around perimeter or just drop them on the map if you wish. When you get around to where you started it will show the acres.
For a good laugh it showed the same acres on one farm to a hundredth as my renter who uses RTK.

I have an app called "Farmis Field Navigator." It's free and even has a "parallel driving" function where it plots a line on the map, shows you where you are in relation to it, and you steer the tractor to follow the line. You can set your width and everything.

It's no autosteer system and is limited to straight lines as far as I know, but it's quite impressive for a free app.
