When I was young we had a set of the 6ft McCormick 10-A Disk Harrows, pulled them with IH SC or JD 420, my Uncle had about a 1950 JD M and spent many hours driving it as well. That JD M was amazing it could pull more than a Ford 8N or Ferguson TO-20.

I have an old John Deere 420c I pulled a 14 foot international 620 press drill or a a 4 section spike tooth drag never had a plow or a disc finally found a disc but by then the tractor was to wore out to pull anything

Nice collection of manuals.
I am a manual hoarder myself.
Shame, all these so called equipment dealers today, just toss these old manuals in the dumpster. I grab everyone I can.

That's cool. I like looking at old manuals and the advertising brochures. As a kid I remember looking at the warning cartoons in my dads old books.

The safety cartoons are always my favorite . I have a pretty good collection of manuals and brochures

I have an nice AR been in our family since the 1960’s I have owned it for 30 years . Also have the standard 60.

I made the mistake of thinking those cartoons made the manuals coloring books. I only made that mistake once on the manual to my dads 4010. He pointed out my error with a razor strap to my rear end and I learned from then on to be careful what I used my crayons on.

I have some old ford service manuals that I rescued the from dumpster at the dealer when I was there

Kansas ..... that brings back memories for me as well .... not memories of coloring a manual but the for the instant appearance of a belt or strap of some kind for what was pretty much harmless behaviors. Looking back, although many of us think it did us good, there are other ways of looking at it .....

1) There were kids from back then that felt that strap often but still went astray.
2) There are kids these days that have never felt that sting who are great people.

Just something to think about.

My dad a piece of leather horse harness with a metal ring riveted to one end. If we did something wrong he used the strap. If we did something really bad he grabbed the other side and used the metal ring on our rear end. He was almost 60 when I was born so I don't think he had the patience he might of had once. I can say without a doubt he never abused us kids and usually deserved the spanking we received. I don't think I thought that when I was a kid however but I sure wouldn't change anything.
