I looking at a MF4253 in an estate sale. This tractor is a 2 WD '97 model with cab & MF FEL. I don't see many for sale or much information on this model on the net. I know it was built in England. Anyone have any experience with one or a guessed value?

There's also a MF 250 that engine doesn't run.

Thanks for any assistance, Jim

The ones I've been around seem the same as the rest of the 4200 series Masseys. Perkins engines, UK style rear end and rock shaft style 3 point (vs the French built larger series w external cylinders only). Open centre hydraulics.
Dana Italy axle on the MFWD's.

There's a few running around here but they are all different. There's a dry clutch and wet clutch reverser model, 4 different transmission options too but all I've driven was a 4x3 setup on a single lever with mechanical reverser on the
left.

I have a 4243, I really like it. 53 is the same with more fuel turned to it for a HP increase. Do not be afraid of it, Agco still has all parts your might need for it.

250 uses the 152 perkins, nice little tractor that uses very little fuel.

4253 nice UK built tractor.
