John Deere 710

I recently put a connecting rod through the side of my 1967 710 JD .The motor is trash . It has the 202 3.3l 50hp diesel in it. I do have access to a 276 turbo engine out of a late eightys bachoe. Will this engine bolt in without an adapter plate. Anyone who has done a similar swap in a similar tractor or a skidder i would be interested to talk to.

Thanks Darrell

I have a 710 with a good engine but a problem with the transmission, and I'd let it go pretty cheap. Where are you?

We are talking about the Canadian JD about the size of a 2020, aren't we?

The engines such as your 3.3L should interchange with a 4.5L. You probably will have to utilize your tractors original flywheel housing & alter the speed/hr meter drive

Thannks but this engine is toast. Balance shafts broke also. I am pretgy sure this other engine will fit. Probably will have to change oil pan not sure on clearances but should be able to figure itt out

Not too often to find a 510 or 710 still in service .
They were a Lance tractor built in Mannheim with a Dubuque style 300 series Deere engine manufactured in Saran France.
A turbo 276 could be a little frisky for that chassis .They will make an easy 105HP without even blowing smoke .

Your right it is alot of hp for that old tractor but my buddy is scrapping his hoe and
told me to take the engine. She should be able to run with the bottom plows if the
tranny and rear end can handle it.
