Did not buy the T4.90

I ended up not buying the T4.90 that was in Madison. It was an extremely nice tractor. It did not have a loader, and with the price to add a loader and the price they were asking just did not line up. I would have had 56K in the tractor, which brought it up to the pricing of a 110HP with a factory loader. The other tractors in this size range have been selling in the mid 40s, the ones that are priced above that are sitting. This tractor had a 24 speed, which in my view kicks in another 2-3K.

The NH come with the 6?6TL loaders from the factory and it does just not appear feasible to add one of those models. From what I learned it is a bad idea to buy one of those without a factory loader, as it really makes them hard to sell. There are other T4.90's out there in the price range I want to pay, but they either have the 12 speed or the lighter 655 loader.

The folks there were very nice to work with, we just could not reach a deal.

I have 3 weeks to find one, or the push is off for this tax year.

You might be ahead to buy something that you won't lose too much on when you
trade it next year for something more like what you really wanted. That would
depend on this year's tax situation vs. next year's tax situation.

Always enjoy your posts.

Few years back I was looking for a good loader tractor plus general utility work about 100hp. Looked hard at NH, CaseIH, JD and Kubota plus some cheaper odd balls. Ended up with JD6330 with H340 loader. Has 24 speed shuttle shift, front suspension, nice seat etc. I have been really happy with it, so far super reliable.

Hmmmm. The old Ford 960 with a one arm loader is starting to look better?? I bet we could find you one! Lol.
