My work has a T595 track bobcat skid loader. We are grappling up trees and have weeks of work ahead of us. The loader is brand new and we have experienced the tracks coming off. Depending on how bad it is off it takes us about a half and hour to a hour and a half to put them back on. The are tensioned to 3/4 to a half of an inch when suspended. Do any of you that have track machines have trouble with the tracks coming off? I have come to the conclusion that wheels loaders and track loaders have there specific place in life.We carry crow bars and a grease gun in the truck at all times now to put the tracks back on. Kind of a pain. At least it isnt in a hog or cow yard.

if it new tell dealer to fix it, i kust treied out new bobcat track unit i stayed with non flat tweels like those much better than tracks way less noise, vibration and tippy ride. cat track unit and the afx units are the best track uni think thats the letters that i tested

I have a Bobcat T590. At about 7-800 Hrs we were on a clearing job using the ground shark. It was very hilly and pretty rough. The mower is very heavy and one really had to pay attention on the side slopes. It is a miserable job to put track on machine when it is the lower track on the side of a hill! I found that tension was the key to keeping tracks on. I would run 1/4 - 3/8 inch droop. At 1200 hrs I put new wider tracks on as the one track was making sounds it shouldn't which turned out to be the internal cables starting to break. With the wider tracks it so far appears to be much more stable and better overall.

We have sold new KUBOTA skid steers to two local companies in the last 6 months for the very reason you are mentioning. Both of them complained of running the tracks off in rough sidling work.
