i sold this 1950 ford 1 1/2 ton last week and he is redoing it. he is really happy with it. it also had a good robin hoist on it. i had it running years ago and drove it around. nothing like the sound of those flatheads.

Nice to see people saving the bigger trucks. Everybody wants pickups, while the larger trucks go to waste.
I picked this one up a couple weeks ago. I needed it like I need another left foot but it was too nice to see it get scrapped out.

I also have these.

Ah, back to my youth! Dad's big truck when I was in jr high was a 6 cylinder red 1949 F6 with a squeaky clutch pedal. We built removeable side racks out of oak on it. Heavier than heck to get the tailgate into the stake pockets after we loaded a bunch of heifers to take to Grandpa's place. A few years later, he bought a 1947 Ford dump truck with the flathead V8. No driver's door, never licensed, just used it around the farm for gravel. Thanks for the memories.

The farmer that I worked for as a kid had just about the same exact truck right down to the colors. His had the full steel gravel dump body. It was under the barn cleaner for most of the year.

they sold a nonrunning'52 F3 at auction Saturday. Last liscenced in '71.Very straight.Been repowered with an overhead valve 240(?) six. Brought 3,000.

i really like that red chevy 1958? where you located as it kind looks like a saskatchewan licence plate on it? is it running?

It's actually a '59.
We're in Southern MN.
The truck had been re-powered sometime in its life with a 283 V-8. It hadn't been used since 2014. We got it home and I had it running the next day. The engine runs great! Still needs brake work, plus there's a funny noise in the drive train somewhere when you drive it. These issues will wait till spring now.
The truck isn't quite officially mine yet. The PO has a couple title issues to get straightened out yet, and I haven't paid him yet. But the truck is sitting in my yard.
