Tordon ????????????

Is it just me or does anyone else think Tordon RTU isn't as strong as it used to be. Every year for the last 30 years or so after harvest I drive my terraces & fence rows & cut any volunteer trees. Seeing as I do it every year the trees are only 18" or so tall & I get by using a long handled pruning sheer. I've had some trees come back that I obviously had cut the year before & then this year they suckered off. My Tordon is fresh as I go through a jug a year. I know 30 years ago if you cut a tree & put Tordon on it it was done for. Anybody else noticed this. Thanks

I get a jug every 3-4 years, but just use on the road ditch's and around the yard, still knock's down the weeds for me !!!

buy a jug of the uncut stuff and spike it or spray a bigger shot of RTU. personally the uncut stuff is a bargain but u need a licence to buy it!

I have good luck with it on most all trees except black locast or willow, it kills the main stump, but sprouts come back from the roots.

No spray is 100%. Some will be immune to its effects, or at the very least, the spray will have limited effectiveness. Those will regrow, and propagate. After 30 years of treating with the same thing over and over, you've now grown yourself a bumper crop of Tordon resistant trees.
