After driving a tractor with a loader and no power steering, I'm thinking that looks pretty darn good. I'd trade a few more revolutions of the wheel for easier steering!!!
 
I did that, too, on a '69 Chevelle late model stock car, back in the day, to speed up the steering, only I did it with the large sprocket inboard of the small one instead of above and belos.

After that, I just used a Corvette manual gear for quicker steering in the cars I built.
