Just made it home, 1570 miles, 28 hours. Dog tired so is my son. All scales were closed except one weigh in motion On the oregon, Idaho border that was no problem. We took 84 to Pocatello. Left Oregon at 5:00 PM Pacific. Son drove first leg of I84 while I was in the bunk but he said there was some 45 MPH curves. Took 30 eastbound out of Pocatello. 30 was bone dry, perfect driving. Western Wyoming had 8 or so of snow but I80 was OK. No snow left through Nebraska and my part of Iowa. Will feel good to sack out in a bed that is not trying to throw me out on the floor!

Plenty of snow in the Larramie area and west. Some snow in Cheyenne but it tapered off to nothing by the time we got to Nebraska. Almost no snow in southern Idaho. A little snow in the Pocatello area. Went through Idaho at night but it didn't look like there was snow.

My son was in a big hurry to get back home to put a wet kit on this truck to get it into service so it was a straight through shot. We were at the truck dealer in Hermiston for two hours. I wanted to call Wayne to see if he had time to stop by to say hi but I wasn't sure how long we would be there. Got to see the area around Hermiston though. The dealer filled me in on what they grow for crops. Quite a variety. The dealer was just south of a huge potato processing plant and he said there was an onion processing plant close by. Was interesting to see a semi load of onions go by. We don't see loads of potatoes and onions here in Iowa, at least not where I live in Iowa.

Glad you made it. Nice weather here today

Nice to know you had a good trip.

At Pocatello your about 70 miles SSW of me.. They got more snow from the last storm then I did.. You covered a very big variety of county on your trip... too bad alot of it was in the dark..

Glad ya made it home OK, was thinking about you today, wondering if ya made it home in one shot or found a stable bed in a flee bag motel.
45 MPH curves in Oregon, hhhhmmm never noticed. Can't be any in the Oregon mountains, I don't remember any 45 MPH curves on I-84 going east from Hermiston. I guess I just straighten them out. LOL LOL
