Some time during the week,,the neighbor dug a few rows

I walked the feild and picked up some that were left,,some with scars,cuts etc,,and a few good ones!!To good to waste,,we will eat them this week

Hes says help yourself to good ones,,but these are too good to waste,we trim them up and use them.
 
Wow!! I haven't seen one of those old diggers since I was an early teenager. Followed one several times, wearing a bagging belt. 20 cents per bag if I remember correctly.

I and several others in my area have tryed digging sweet potatoes with white potato diggers. It scars and bruises

them up to much.

This is my yard art digger hooked to a Caterpillar 20 which I am told was made from 1927 to 1931. Guys love it, women think it looks like it belongs in a scrap yard.
 
We planted 50 sweet potato plants this year. Used the hiller and planted the taters in the hills. Covered with landscape fabric and straw. Was really easy to dig the sweet potatoes. They were just about on top of the ground. Probably got 300+ pounds.

Wow.. i look at those and remember them being around here.. then i see the 6 row machines that they use now.. wow how far technology has brought us...
