Heathouser windows?

My heathouser windows are so cloudy that it's almost impossible to see through them. I was wondering if anyone has a solution for that? I wonder if one of those headlight restoration products would work, has anyone given that a try?

are they plastic/plexiglass? if so then yeah, one of the restoration products would probably help

ultraviolet light is what causes the cloudiness in the plastic headlights.. basically the plastic breaking down over time

Yes they are plastic. I suppose I should get some of that headlight stuff and try on a small part first to see how it comes out.

A friend of mine uses Pledge, the cleaner on jeep soft top windows. I assume they would be similar material

Try it and see.. Let us know the results. If it doesn't work, all you're out is the cost of the product and a little bit of time.

The best way is to replace with new "plastic sheeting" check with those who repair auto soft tops for the correct type of plastic. They may
even do the repair for you if you don't have some one who can sew. I redid my own that way with my 1950's Remington sewing machine since it
handles thicker fabrics [ leather, vinyl, canvas].

Replace the "plastic" windows is the most efficient way.
I purchased the sheeting from a local fellow who repairs auto soft top. Then disassembled and sewed the new windows in for the sides.
That is why last year I bought a 1950's Remington sewing machine to do heavy material;[ leather, vinyl, canvas]
BY the way the heavier front window "plastic" is what most of the stores here in Ontario Canada have put at the check out.
I cleared out new old stock from a retired IHC dealer near me so I have a few pieces on hand.
Made / or should I say remade our own from two separate new old stock units with a top totally enclosing the drivers seat area on our IHC BN.
Had to elevate the top for easier access.

I have a Simms cab on my Kubota. One of the plastic windows was torn badly. Local canvas shop replaced it for around $50.00. Very pleased with the work.

Get some less-aggressive polishing compound and a soft cotton cloth. Apply the compound to the cloth and rub and polish the plastic windows. Has worked well for cleaning up convertible rear windows.

I used chrome polish on the headlights on my one Pete to help with clearing the yellowing off the lens. I would suppose even silver polish would work. Using a buffer would speed it up some as long as it is not held in one place and burned the surface.
