Adapted wide fronts.

The post below about the case wf on a 4020 got me to thinking(dangerous lol).I have a JohnDeere A with a Farmall M front, and I modifyed a SuperC front to a F-12.I have two frinds with modifyed fronts. One has a Farmall H with a VAC Case front, another has a JohnDeerer 60 with a WD45 wf.And we've all seen truck axles fitted to loader tractors.Things like that are what makes things interesting. The ingenuity of the American farmer to get the job done.Other mods are equally interesting. They never fail to impress me.

I agree. When looking at tractors at tractor shows and auctions it is interesting to see some of the "farmerized" ones some looking really good and others no so much. I always wonder for what purpose it was modified. I saw a JD A at an auction that had the front frame lengthened by about a foot and steering shaft drove a geat that ran the steering box. A friend of mine has an A that has a grear fastened to outside of flywheel to run hydraulic pump for loader. A little hairy to hand start it

I haven't read your post, but my first glance at the title was a mis read. I read adapted wife fronts. Definitely read the title again.
