Hill Country Fall Ride pics

I made the Hill Country Antique Tractor Club's fall ride yesterday. We traveled 25 miles thru the hill country west of Fredericksburg TX stopping at a private facility for BBQ lunch. The weather was great, 65 in the morning to a high of 93. This was their first fall ride and with the health concerns there were only about 20 tractors. The spring "Bluebonnet Ride" usually has over 50. As you can see it is pretty dry. The construction in the second pic is the Permian Highway natural gas pipeline running from far west Texas to the coast. It was good to be out and on a tractor.

Our little club has an annual fall ride the 3rd sat of September. We travel a total of about 26 miles total with breakfast/lunch about 10:30 at a local restaraunt along the way.Lots of harvest is happening and the fall colors are just starting.Ride lasts about 5 hours with 10MPH being average speed. We have a wagon(people hauler) for wives/familys to ride along. One wife is in a wheelchair so she can participate too. It's a wonderful relaxing day with friends. I look forward to it all year.
