Goes together that easy . Humpty dumpy is back together again . If international had put greseable bearings in from the start we wouldn’t have this problem
Still a bit if grease left in the two bearings that turn

I've got a small Kraus disc that's just like that. I fixed it permanently. I bought a different disc with greaseable bearings.

The new bearings from ag smart are grease type .

And hold your breath the locsl fist cnh has them on the shelf

Our 470 has and had grease able bearings on it since we've had it. In the late 70's. Some came from dealer and some wereaftermarket.

Next time try cutting the bearing at 90 degrees of the shaft. It probably doesn't matter with this so much but cutting against the shaft instead of with the shaft keeps from heating the shaft as much and not gouging it. :) chris

Old Case disks had oak wooden "boxings" that were greaseable and lasted a long time if you pumped grease into them until it came out of both sides of the boxings about every 3-4 hours. The boxings were easy to replace.

That was one of the so called updates in the later 37 then the 370 disks.I will never understand non-greaseable bearings on a disk.

my 37 is an early one and has the cast boxings that are greaseable.. I was told to stay away from them. But i bought it anyway.. you just have to make sure and keep a case of grease handy and grease it every morning..

The Deere RW disk dad bought new in 1959 had sealed non greasable bearings that lasted the usable life of the disk. We used it pretty heavy for 16 years then it went to occasional use. It was never pulled fast or deep though because we did not have the power in front of it to pull it that way. About ten years ago a bearing finally locked up. When I got apart I found all of the bearings were bad and the original blades were worn way down so I junked it out.
