I finally got to try out the JD 2140 hauling hay today. The old Massey seemed to struggle a bit on the last trip so I switched the bale spear over to the JD front end loader. It works great. That new Princess Auto cylinder does the job without leaking oil like the old one. Its sure nice to have brakes and easy steering. The old Massey steering pump is getting weak for any sudden moves or quick maneuvers. Massey has a better road gear though. The JD seems slow, almost a gear slower than the Massey. Picture from today with the 11 bale load of hay.
