A few more hours on the 1486

My corn is out, yields varied from nothing to 90 BPA due to the windstorm that came though in August. A lot of the corn was completely flat on the ground. The
chopper was still on the 14, so I ran that over the stalks that were flat. I had to run sideways to get it to pick up. It was much easier to use it today, maybe because more familiar, but I stayed in the cab most of the day so no issue with access. I did a couple double clutch shifts, so that went better.

One thing I will say, it is powerful and stingy on fuel.

90 bpa is not much. Sorry about the wind damage. It must be so disheartening to destroy a downed crop that had so much potential. Here I am whining about one field that did only 170 dry. Hope you have a better crop next year.

Wow, if you have to go crosswise to get the stalks to chop, that's FLAT! I had thought they still had a bend to them. Guess not. At least you got a little yield from it. Better than not at all.
