Hopefully this will help the birds get out of the trough

I had squirrels get in caught in my troughs.....I just bent a piece of field fence over the side & to the bottom of the tank, never had a issue since.

Good job. Mowing one time I saw a gopher in a hole some kids dug. he couldn't climb out of. I tossed in some branches hopping he had enough sense to crawl out. Don't like to see an animal starve to death. That's why I don't like glue traps. Stan

I have had a half dozen squirrels and birds drown in the horse troughs. I ordered some stainless steel chain, bolts and nuts and put two chains about 18" long in the holes provided on the Rubbermaid tanks and dangled dow into the water.

Never had another animal drown since.
