Radiator core cleaning.

Rustred is correct. When "rodding out" was common, the walls of tubes were thicker. (even those thick ones are thinned from ags and brittle) the risk of making a hole is excessive today. Getting the tanks back on with no leaks is also a near lost art. Jim

If the radiator is on, you can do a decent job of cleaning it with washing soda while you are running the tractor. Pour (slowly) three or four cups of washing soda into a warm radiator and get it to as high temperature as possible. Drain water while hot, flush with clear water, repeat until you are happy with how clean it became. An old speaker magnet wired inside the top tank will help collect rust particles.
