On the little lake I was raised near, some fairly large buildings were put up as boat houses/duck hunt camps right on the edge of the swamp. Big money guys from the city would get together and put up a camp back around 1900 , and spend two weeks in the “ wilderness “. I remember seeing these buildings rotting and forgotten like this

I wonder if beavers may have built a dam nearby and caused
the area near the barn to flood.

Got a nice paint job last time around. I wonder what the structure is? Quite likely timber. I dug up and straightened a few footings on a barn down the road. They were a
pyramid shape of concrete setting in sand. That building would have had a timber floor. This building wasn't a mill?
