hip replacement

As it stands right now, I am scheduled for my left hip replacement on October the 5th. It can't come soon enough for me, although it will mean I won't get the last 2 fields done square baling but it will be there next year if I don't.

Good luck with it .
Mind the docs orders. Dad had one done and he felt so good he was out running around without the walker or cane. Then about a month after it was done, he had an infection in it. Back to the horsepistol to open it back up power wash it out ad replace some of the pieces. Came apart 3 times between Christmas and first of February. so back in again to fix that. He's been fine since. Out cutting wood and business as usual. He was 85 when he had it done and now 87. Keeps going like the energizer bunny.

I have a grandson that will bale it and would mow and rake it but he works a steady job for a small construction company and deer season just came in yesterday for us bow hunters. He has a 12 point buck that he's been watching so I couldn't ask him to do it for me. He needs a life of his own too and on top of that he has a girl friend that he will probably give an engagement ring to on Christmas. You know she's more important than doing hay but she'll be right there with him if he does it, she's a darned good girl. I have a close friend that is a farmer but he had back surgery a few months ago and is having a good deal of trouble with that. He'd come and do it but I won't ask him to climb into a tractor and ride for 4 or 5 hours mowing hay. I really don't have to have the hay done so it can just wait till next year. It won't hurt anything and it's really not very high anyway because of ther dry weather conditions we have had this year.

My first one got infected but it was two and a half years later. Doc cleaned it out and I was on IV antibiotics for two months then oral for about another two years. Been OK since but now the joints are loose. One replaced in June the other pending.

So that day both of us will be i seeing a doctor. I have an eye exam that day. And no I will not trade

Keith,I had my left hip done,Very easy operation.I was in a tree stand in 2 weeks.I didnt jump up there I took my time.I got out of the hospitial on a Monday and went to church on Wednesday night. My wife drove me around

The anterior way they do hip surgery today requires a much shorter recovery period than the old posterior way. You should be up and atem real quick.

I am in uk and I know someone who was waiting for new
hip but he could not have it done because he had bad
teeth . After his teeth were removed and gums healed he
was ok
