karma kicks butt - mine

I got the JD X330 out and mowed the back yard. When I put it up I thought I hadn't started the Fergie in several weeks. Then I thought, well if it doesn't I can jump it off the mower. I've run the TO 30 for over 3 years on a mower battery I took out of a non-running Cub Cadet mower. Sure enough, er er er. But it did jump off and is on the charger now. If I hadn't doubted it, no problem.

That is certainly why conversion to 12 volts is a good idea. A 25 dollar mower battery is for a Cub and will last as long as the 100 dollar 6 volts. Plus any old battery that is a little weak will get you running even if you wouldn't trust is far from home.

I have converted all of mine to 12 v. But with generators to "look original" as long as the hood is closed!
