I'm looking at a 1972 Cat 930 rubber tired loader and want to make sure I can haul it. I cant find the weight for a 72 model. All the specs I can find look to be for late model machines. Does anyone have spec info 72 model? Thx

That is about what two weigh , cab ones I always owned were close to 20,000 we could scale two and have some weight left or a 18 wheeler.

acually was trying to look it up now and these unit are yes smaller than the one i was thinking about. maybe it was a lot older. i know we had one on the rigs years ago and it was way bigger machine.

Found a 1967 brochure that lists standard operating weight for a 930 as 19,000 lbs. (around 1:35 in the video below). Cab and such will add some weight, and a bit newer model will be a bit more, but I'd still say 25,000 would be at the high end.

I have a Cat 950 and it come in at around 40,000. Was owned by some one else be he died not long ago so not sure if I own it or not but it has been on my place for 10 plus years

The newer machines certainly aren't any lighter. I would think if you plan on the weight of a newer machine, you should be safely covered.

Ritchiespecs says 21208lbs operating weight.

Sean ..... obviously, others reply to the post without looking at previous replies (like yours). I would say that your post is the one I would use as a correct reference, why repeat the same (or different) information? This is often the case with replies, it happens all the time.
