I've been spending most of the warm weather at my country place where I don't have a computer. I just realized that I haven't seen any posts from Geo-TH,In since May. Does anyone know what has happened to him??

People seem to pick on him and he just got sick of it. I hope some day he comes back I enjoyed most of his posts.

Once a year ever since I have been following this site people tend to get real critical, crusty and cranky in what they post in reply to questions people ask.

This usually begins with the cold weather starting sometime in December and goes on until it warms up enough for people to get busy again mid March to early April.

With all the lockdown B.S. this year there was an excess amount of people who had nothing better to do than sit behind their computer and take jabs at others life's.

Being that George posted about things that were not always done in what some may call a conventional manner he tended to attract more than the average share of criticism and I think he finally just had enough.

He got tired of the Troll on Y-T and left and has said he will NEVER come back. As per an e-mail he sent me a while back.

I suppose I was a bit hard on him at times,, in truth he would post asking for advise and then have 50 ways his way was the only way,, and when he kept bragging about the dozer he made from wood bolted to his woods belly mower I did express my opinion,, for sure there are times I should just never comment,, I assume he is still visiting often if not every day just not posting,, I do hope all is well with him though non the less

I've learned that there are MANY reasons that someone may lash out when they are normally just the opposite. Maybe a bad day at work, a fight with the spouse, money issues, physical pains/illness, traffic, even the weather. And that just scratches the surface.

With George, he would very often write things that would attract the kinds of replies he said he didn't like. And yet, he kept posting. For example, I remember something about truckers always being the ones who did something nearby - something about construction?

On another note, he also mentioned (a LOT!!) about his new CDB oil or whatever it is. I gotta be honest, I wouldn't mind trying some of that stuff. But at the same time, posting several times a week about it on a tractor forum seems a bit much IMO.

But yes, I liked George's posts also. I just ignored his gripe posts. He has bad days just as we all do, and many of us have more than others.

Oh, almost forgot - there was a time when there was very little posting going on, and George was trying to keep the forum alive. I would think that took a fair bit of effort on his part.

Look at anyone on this or any forum and you'll find both good and bad. That makes everyone who leaves a lot asset for the forum.

Is is the ONLY YTer that I have ever met personally. Had some bad times early on him bragging about his Termites, then he was wanting to buy a new gas tractor, then latter wanting to convert a KUBOTA to gas power. After about tow years I got him to sit in a new cab KUBOTA and he ended up buying it. I will say this with all his fickle ways and posting the guy is VERY smart. He can solve things that most folks would run from. He proved his abilities more than once to me. He and I talk quite frequently and I have tried to get him back but he just says life is simpler without it. I miss him and JD seller both , they added to the groupe.

He would always rant and rave about any kind of metal building, especially metal roofs. He then went and built a metal building.

I enjoyed most of George's posts, but he had a tendency to post things that were guaranteed to get critical responses, then he'd get mad at the responses that he'd deliberately provoked. A number of regulars left or were banned about the same time; some I don't miss while others including George I'd like to hear from again.

I liked George. I thought he took the troll bait a little too easily. I guess they finally tipped him over the edge.

I dident read every post he made, but the ones i did seemed interesting, he told me about getting battery adapters to use dewalt batteries in Milwaukee tools, when i asked in tool talk, he seemed real, i never felt like what he said raised red flags, unlike the “storyteller” who also left, dont miss that guys bull one bit!

Hey jm, I'm a YTer and met you this summer. The deck you sold me is working great. Still waiting for you to sell the snow plow.
