Wow, what a mess! I have been cleaning up blowdown trees since we had isolated straight-line winds, thank goodness it was just a few spots. It's giving me a lot of tractor time though, thank goodness it's dry enough to use it!

What part of Alabama? We are up in Talladega county. Hardly got any wind. And just 2 inches of rain.

Was your tree farm area affected any?

I don't think any of the trees we planted were damaged, most of them are too small, for the last 5 years we have been planting spruce. Most of the blowdown was black ash, which is normally a very strong wood, but many trees had weak spots. Our neighbors lost some big pine, they broke of 16 feet up, 20 inch diameter and healthy.

Guy we are building a deck for has been down there working. Lineman for Pike. Just got back from LA and they sent him back out next day.
