Can someone help explain to me how to change u joints on the pro shaft? There are no clips, I tried pressing it out no luck, I have never seen this style. Thanks Kevin

If i also cant figure it out, took it to local caseih dealer, they looked at me like i had 6 heads, they had no idea how to replace it, they told me to just but a whole new pto shaft. Mine is on a knight manure spreader.

the bearing caps have spiral groves cut in them when they go together they lock in the holes. the place i worked fixed one once we had more labor in it than what a new one cost. its cheaper to just but the whole assembly.

Take a tourch cut the center out of it ,drive the 4 pins into the center. The new u joint has spirol pins that drive in from the outside.

Seems to me we just drove the one pine on through then the other and it would come off. Then put the new pins in with new center. they were knurled on the outer end to hold them in. Was not a bad job. Had to take the grease fitting out first though. Been 30 years since I had to do one though. Keeping them greased helps a lot.
