That was quick

Saturday I just finished mowing a fire break. Lots of rocks, and 3 year old Sumac bushes with 2-3 inch limbs, 8 ft high. My MF 231, with my 6 ft. Woods chewed right through them. The rocks are what I don't like. The mower has a few more battle scars, but that's why I keep it. I gave this job to someone just starting out, but he was having some mechanical problems, and the owner was getting desperate. The situation he had to remove the weeds was up. Now the quick part: I was loaded up, and decided to take a leak before I returned back to the barn. I just got zipped up, turned around, and I was on the ground. I guess I had a senior moment. Anyway I landed on a rock. I put a sizeable gash on my right arm. Four hours in emergency I was back home. 3 1/2 hours waiting 1/2 hr actual repair. Hope you had a better Saturday. Stan

I just got some new boots, and wasn't used to wearing them, and there was a little ditch I stepped in as I turned. Stan

With this virus out there medical attention is pretty much do it yourself. A lot of people catch it at the medical center.

Got to be real careful the older we get, the chemotherapy messed with my eyesight and I have to be real careful now about falling over something or tripping on something I can't see. Doctor said my vision may or may not come back to normal.

Glad you are ok. Saturday night in the emergency room. Did a Friday night with my daughter when she was little, what an eye opener. Be careful, my old hog has a few battle scares. Last time I tangled with a rock it broke the end off a blade.

Tom, that's the truth!

A lot of people are needlessly suffering from not seeking treatment or followup because they are afraid to go to the Dr., or get turned away because they have laid off all the employees.

I'm 79 and for quite a few years now when I go for my annual checkup, the doctor has been asking me how many times I've fallen in the past year.
I haven't actually fallen but I've had a bunch of "almosts".
I find myself being very careful when I move about and I use the handrails a lot now. Rough ground is tougher to negotiate anymore.
I won't complain.....I still get around pretty good for an old guy!
