The Gleaner L4

I went to the Agco dealer today for some parts, and as usual, took a wander through their inventory. There were 2 L3s, one K2 equipped for research plots plus this L4....heard of them but never seen one. It looked similar to the L3, except for the square fuel tank and cab interior and a few minor exterior differences. I think they were equipped with a 6 cylinder Cummins but I did not check. Looked in good, clean condition.

I believe they were made in Mexico I believe there was a dealer in North Dakota that got a few in the US?

I have only seen one L4. Was told a few dealers sold a few in the USA as Some farmers didn't want the new R series machines. I run a 1976 model M and would love to have a L4

Yes, made in Mexico...Not sure if the company was AC related.

if memory serves me, the green stripe would mean it has a Duetz engine, a red stripe means Cummins!
