Proper windshield adhesive for skid steer door

Broke the glass front door out of a JD 317G skid steer. It had a rubber molding / door seal around the glass that was attached with some kind of adhesive. I've got a new glass ordered, but salvaged the old rubber molding and plan to re-use it as it is in good shape. The old adhesive was still pliable and was able to clean it out pretty well. What kind of adhesive should be used? The JD parts catalog doesn't mention that a new molding comes with any adhesive, and there is no separate adhesive listed. I know there are lots of different kinds available, anyone know what was origanally used or would be best for this application? Any hints for installation?

Spot on with the auto glass urethane CO. Be careful .... there a lot of other products out there that claim to do the same job but they do not. Get the stuff the auto glass shops use, nothing less will do. I needed some and had to buy a whole tube (caulking gun sized) instead of a smaller size squeeze tube but man, it is some kind of product.

Make sure if you scrape any paint off you touch it up. It is a place to rust and the window will come loose.

It may come with the glass. I know back when the 9600 combine was a new machine the crew I was on had to replace one where an auger finger broke and hit the front window. They used a urethane product that just glued it to the front of the cab frame it had to be held in place for a few minutes after it was set in place. That would hold your glass fine. I think it either came with the glass or was got from the Deere dealer.
