stuck in the mud

Where are you guys located? Dumped one like that last year in SE SD, but I don't think they had that much mud to fight.

That was a great video. I've never seen anything so stuck and troubled. Great job getting it free of the muck.

Great video!

I'm surprised they let you get that close and record that!

Usually they don't want anyone any where near, especially recording, just in case something goes terribly wrong!

That was a small forest of trees they put under that thing. Looks like it chewed them up but good, are thry just gonna leave the wood in there?

Same kind of soil we have here in my part of minnesota. Some top soil, and then yellow clay that holds water, consistency of jello when wet, and it’s usually wet. If the top soil doesn’t carry you, you sunk to the frame or lower, there is no bottom, nothing to hold you up.

They are getting the wood out today. Someone did a soil test and found that the goop went down 60 feet and then an under ground lake.

Ive been following this for a couple weeks and think I went back and saw all your videos on it. When did it actually go down? The beginning of August?

We have about 120 feet of yellow and blue clay, down to the original thin topsoil. When digging wells they hit bits of grass and twigs at about 120 feet here. The glacier pushed the clay over the top, then the glacier melted and made a fertile topsoil over the rolling hills of clay. They say our water only moved down a few inches, maybe half foot a year here. We are drinking well water hasn’t seen daylight in centuries.

Below the 120 feet is a lot of sugar sand, some gravel pickets, and bedrock about 400 feet or so. Lot of water in my area, not so much other areas.

The logo on the red crane sure looks familiar, I used Cranes Inc quite a bit back in the day, 250-500 ton hydraulic, they were an excellent outfit to work with.
