Casenutty 1660 calendar picture

Just noticed your Sept calendar picture. Reminded me of the
Case 133 baler we had. It was pto driven and we used it with a
4 speed Case 211B. No live pto, no power steering. The baler
worked that little 200 pretty hard. Of course everything worked
it pretty hard it was our only tractor til we got an IH cub,
then the 200 was our big tractor. I still have the 200 and the
cub but not the baler. It's not my big tractor anymore.
Enjoyed the picture.
Phil

Glad you liked it thanks for the kind words

Great looking baler, never much Case equipment in my area over the years so I like seeing the pictures.I'm a fan of any brand older equipment still getting the job done,I have an Oliver 62-T baler I bale with sometimes does a good job for me.

My Grandfather ran Hart Parr's for years then bought a Oliver 70 std and a new Oliver pull-type combine 12' header I think it is,, do you have a shot handy of your baler be great to see it, wish I had the u-tube thing figured out I would post a few from the seat vids I have,, she is a sweet little baler, I am planning on getting one of my others out and getting it ready for next year as I have used this one for the last three years,, baling 400-800 a year,, I like to use what i like and have in my collection,, it also helps we sold CASE new from 66 through 76 and most of my equipment we sold the same models new, even some of what I have we sold new,,

Excellent pictures. My dad talked about working on a crew with a Case wire baler that had 2 men ride the baler and each one had to poke a wire through and tie it when the bale was made. My dad always tried to get on the wagon to stack although it was a harder job, much less dusty. Nice to see the Adirondack Case guy’s 930 picture too.

I had a VAS I bought at an auction for a while pretty neat little tractor,Jerrold Oaks owner of the Marion PA auction has it now,he has a pretty good size Case collection.

That would have been a NCM baler,, CASE Owned the baler market in the 40's before with them the Ann Arbor and NH self tying balers came to be, they made great bales but like you say BOY was they a dirty thing to work on poking the wires/setting the tie blocks and tying the wires off

You have a calendar?? Seems that sounds vaguely familiar. Ewetube is really easy when it comes to downloading videos. All you do is set up an account. Can be a free one. Once that's set up you look for the movie camera with the + sign in it on the top right of the screen. Click "upload video". The screen will change & a blue button pops up that says "SELECT FILES". Provided you know where your files are, click on the one you want. Once you do that, a new box will pop up. While it's loading & processing, just fill in a title, give it a description, scroll down on that page & click where it says "Not For Children" (even if it's for all ages, just click it), once it finishes processing you can change the thumbnail if you so choose, it will give you one of three pre selected choices, click the blue next button, the next page that pops up probably won't apply so click next again & there will be a box where it says "Public" in a box under "Visibility". Click that circle & hit the save button. You'll have uploaded your first video. That easy. Let us know if you do so we can see what you've been up to. If there are any issues or questions, just ask. I or someone here with an account will be more than happy to help.

Gillette?! That was one of my favorite towns to stop in on my way to & from Washington. Always stayed at the Best Western as it was by the tracks & there was still smoking in the rooms. The breakfasts the restaurant served up were reasonably priced, full of good food & enough to sink a ship. Had I known you lived in that area, I would have offered to buy you a cup of coffee or whatever you prefer in the morning.

I'll have to send a message to Mark & get on the list for a calendar.

Thanks,
Mike

Case Nutty, absolutely fabulous machines!! Thanks for all the pics.

I especially like the pic showing how Case balers make it easy to get pats from a bale. Nice. :)

That's an impressive line-up of tractors. Is that the cover to the calendar?

Yes I am a Native of Gillette,, seen a lot of changes over the past 50 plus years, some good many more not so good,, the food is still served as you say if I am thinking of the same place,, always Nice to hear from someone who has been here

Yes that is a cover pic for this year,, Mark does a Excellent Job on them, he has asked me a few times for cover pics as well as others when he is not getting what he wants for that year, I have sent these to friends around the World,, so I always tell mark he is World Famous!! I added a few shots of a couple different shots I set up for him that year,, I can also grab the calendar with the final shots later and post, I enjoied doing it but it was a lot more work than one would think and time consuming to get things in teh right place to make them look right but I think we hit the mark we went for,, I used my DC and Duncan with the man basket on it that year to get the height I wanted for the shot,, my feet were over 30 feet in the air,,

The final approved work and a few others I grabbed,, in 2012 when I took the first shots it was so dry there was not much grass green so I took a couple spots that was and added it to the rest of the pic,, that was the only enhancement's though I used other than Marks printer added the color banner to the final product, I ended up snapping over 500 pics to get things like I wanted for the two shots,, I know a good number of the people with pics in these and they too put a lot of effort in the shots and I think it really makes a great calendar

My dad bought a 140W pto baler in early 60s then 430 tractor. Baled a lot of hay with. 50 + years ago at Dewey OK east of town setting in weeds was a MCM baler.

Very Nice I take it the 140W is long gone also? I am keeping my eyes out for a set of wire needles,, I have one of the last ones made works like a swiss watch
