Approximately what part of the state are you in? I'm down near Burns and aside from smoke have not been affected by wildfires here (yet). Kinds hard to watch all my favorite places I loved to as a kid/young adult burn to the ground.

What was the cause of these wildfires and
where did they start? It's sad that so many
people have lost everything.

Several reasons. Lightning strikes for one (it had been slowly burning since aug 17, but high winds stirred it up), downed powerlines from the wind storm sparked at least one, arson as well.

The hot part right now. Close to Estacada. So smokey this morning you can't see 100 yards. Hard to breath when you go outside. Moving more
animals so they are safe.
