Front tires

I need some schooling on front tires for my Ford 7700. It currently has original 7.50x16 3 ribs on it. I am going to replace them but would like a little taller and wider. So what would be my options with buying new rims?
Thanks
Matt

You can get a bit taller tire using a 10.00 x 16, but you would need a wider rim....Also, remember to take the rim backspacing into account.

The 7700 that was tested at Nebraska had 7.50-18 tires which are about the same overall diameter as a 10.00-16 size. But, as centash indicated these would take a wider rim than the 7.50-16's you have now. There does seem to be a gap in the available front tire widths between 7.5 and 10 inches.

For the wheels try Heywheel in Ks. They are pretty knowledgeable guys. I bought a wheel and a couple of wheel centers form them. They also told me the offset on front tractor wheels in different than wagon or implement wheels. They have a whole selection for you. No I don't have any affiliation with them other than bought some listed pieces.

Hey Wheel is definitely the place for rims and airplane tires but they don't sell regular tractor tires. I just had them make rims for my hay wagon a couple months ago. Out of curiosity how much wider and taller are you looking for and why? I happen to like 7.50 16s. They have a wide range of tires in that size. I prefer a 4 rib over a 3 rib.

I thought a little taller and wider might not look so offset. Looks like tractor is sitting nose down in front. But if its going to cost more for rims then I will just go with what it on there.
THanks
Matt

Yes sorry,
I don't want to purchase new rims. Just another added cost that I really can't justify unless they were free, I would think more on it.
