another question? fuel psi.

i see a small line from the bottom of fuel filters on this 806 and am wondering how that can show pressure at the fuel pressure guage when fuel is not under pressure going into the injection pump. the guage shows nothing when running.

its the factory system , thats what i cant figure out. a pressure guage for gravity. i will get pic. tommorrow.

Is it between the one filter and the fuel pump? Reason I ask is I believe the first filter or primary is under static pressure of the tank fuel and the other or secondary is under pressure from the low pressure pump as it enters the injection pump. So would have a bit of pressure on it like maybe 20-100 psi. This might be on the RD pump and not on the Bosch pump.

RD pump system had gauge on final filter because gravity feed to primary filter and that flow went to gear pump in end of injection pump and then to final filter.

If converted to Roosa Master filter position was swapped around and just gravity flow to injection pump. Slight vacuum when running.

Some used that same gauge to monitor engine oil pressure after a conversion.

it has the roosa master pump, its as you say, filters are swapped. when i was looking in manual i thought they had a misprint, cause my filters are opposite manuals. another puzzle solved. tractor is 1965. ya funny , they have a manual oil gauge beside that one. lol. thanks pete.
