Curious what this guy has been smoking

Proofmeter was introduced during the 1950 model year. Some were retrofitted.

Nice 8N, but my 52 with just a bit over 1,100 OEM hours and Sherman combination transmission is better.

Even though mine has the correct OEM radiator and front bumper, I could not get half of his asking price for it.

Congratulations, you bought a $300
tractor, used $8K worth of parts and
tires. Now it's worth $800. "Honey, tractors ARE a good investment. I sold it for $500 more than I paid for it!"
 

For $10,000 in the same weight and HP . A buyer would be half way into one of these new, with warranty , 4WD, live PTO/Hydraulics and power steering.

After reading the replies, sounds like none of us YT'ers have ever advertised something and asked too much ..... LOL !!!!!
 
So if I spent $1200 on this 951 and $150
in parts. $50 more in paint....... Yep.
Its worth 10 grand too!!

..............but almost none have a "huge' margin between 'ask' and what we 'would sell' for!
 
So is the air intake tube, the front hub covers, the oil canister... deduct another $1000. Now it's at $1500 so a fair deal!
 

Our CL has a listing for a Fergy TO30 in a nearby town with rebuilt motor, a brush mower and a blade for $6,000! I just got a good one for $1,300 with a good functioning Wagner loader. Supposedly the precious 30 was his fathers, who has passed away.
 
Was the tach working? The tach that we had on a 8n showed 1xxx hours, by the way, the connecting rod went outside the block.
