I have a farmall 140,1963 year. We have converted to a 12 volt system. But now when the tractor runs for about an hour it just dies. The coil is so hot you can't put your hands on it. I bought a new coil with a built in resistor, same problem
Now the other problem is that it acts like it's starving for gas when it gets under a load. I did rebuild the carburetor before this problem started. My question is could the float setting be wrong. Good flow from the gas tank. In order to keep it barley running I have to pull the choke out. I am lost in what I need to do, any help would be greatly appreciated.
