I'll put my bets on it being a Dodge. I had one once back in the 60's, a '41 2 ton flatbed. I had a very unnerving experience with that truck. I was driving on a main street (no load) and the stop light turned red. I pushed the brake pedal and it went to the floor. Meanwhile a half dozen young kids stepped off the curb to cross in front of me. I laid on the horn. Fortunately a police officer near the kids stepped in front of them and with wide arms scooped up the whole group and got them out of the way in time. I did stop with the transmission band brake, but more than half way through the intersection. Just this horrible memory brings tears to my eyes. Thanks to the police officer, no one was hurt.

Looks like our 46 Dodge we had on the farm. Engine was poor shape and we knew where there was a good engine. My brother and I had a contest to see who could blow it up. Only rule was you couldnt let it run out of oil. We couldnt get enough rpm out of it to blow. Used a quart of oil in 10 miles. I was doing field work on day and found out it was low of oil. None in the 2 1/2 gal can. Used 80-90 and it didnt use much oil for a while. Stunk though.
