Many moons ago, when I was hauling tractors back and forth to Eastern Washington, I remember seeing a lot of white tractors around the Royal Slope. Seems that the owner liked white.

Years ago a large, mainly potato, farmer in Othello, Wa had all his equipment painted white. We sold him new tractors and equipment but had to paint them white before delivery. He had a plane and supposedly could fly over the area and see where his place was working due to white equipment. It really hurt to take a beautiful green tractor and paint it white.

Pete Taggares. He also had painted a white stripe on the power poles along the roads adjacent to his irrigation circles. Not sure how many circles he had, but it was a lot. Don't know if that operation is still intact or not- that was 50 years ago.
