A guy ask me at the store why I wasn't at the big tractor shoe in Sturgis south Dakota this week end. Does any one know about this show. Thanks
 
The Sturgis show was a motorcycle rally. Reports said they had over 450,000 people and supposedly were stopping bikers at the border as they did want them or any more. The tractor show was in Huron, SD about the same time. My short summary would say a good time had by all. With location, change of date, etc. maybe the crowd and exhibit numbers were down but for me the hospitality, variety, and quality rivaled any Red Power Roundup show that I have been to.
 
info on the Case forum several days ago about the threshing show this week end. Was quiet yesterday but heading out there in an hour and should be busy.

Ok thanks guys I have some friends that went there to sturis and there cam went out on ther bike. I myself would of taken the trip to see the tractor show.
 
The show at Sturgis this weekend is the Black Hills Steam and Gas Threshing Bee and has no connection to the motorcycle gathering. I attended a couple of years ago and found it to be a fine show with Bear Butte looming over the site to the north. Lots of big standard tread tractors, including Big Willy's IH W-9 powered by an Oldsmobile V-8 engine.
