Massey Ferguson driveshaft coupler

I have a Massey Ferguson 230 tractor and it sheared the coupler. I went thru side plate and it was broke and I took out cotter pin and ordered a new one. I went to put new one in and got it in and the hole for cotter pin are gone. Does the rear shaft go in and out or the sleve I see on rear shaft. Can anyone please help.

I guess. I'm not sure what you mean but the holes for cotter pin are no where to be found. I jacked tractor up and removed 'rear tire on drivers side and I noticed the jack leaked down when I went back a week later. I'm not sure what happened but can't find the hole anymore.

My coupler has holes in it but don't
there have to be a hole thru shaft for
cotter pin to go thru.

I don't know much about MFs but I would think that a cotter pin through two holes in a coupler between the ends of the two shafts would prevent the coupler from moving in either direction.
