Tractor Values

Post the make, model, and pictures here, and folks will chime in with opinions. I'd also look at other local ads and see what prices are being asked for similar size and condition tractors in your area. If you have maintenance or condition knowledge of the tractor, that will usually get you a better price (e.g. "the tractor got new bearings, rings and pistons at 4000 hours"). There's also a classified ads section here at YT that may have a similar tractor for sale that you can look at. I would not pay for an appraisal unless it is extremely rare.

If a 1940's or newer tractor check Auction Time on the internet. I find that the auction prices posted there are very close to what I see at auctions around here and reflect
prices concerning private sales. If you have a price in mind above an auction value you can advertise your tractor for that price and see what the market says. If for an
example you have a Farmall M and you want 4,500 dollars as it sets condition average it would be improbable to have any buyers at that price so you would have to gradually
decrease your price until you have serious buyers contacting you. Depends on how much time you have to sell the tractor. If not pushed I would take my time and start on
the high side if just doing an ad.

(quoted from post at 12:01:28 08/17/20) What is the best way to evaluate the value of your tractor if a "hands on" appraisal is not possible?

Going by your join date and your username, pricing a Rumley might be just a tad more difficult than the first suggestions.
I would seek out try to find a vintage steam club or organization.
Maybe visit rumley.com or rumlycollectors.com etc.
