just a quick question

i am quite positive it will handle it ok. i pull my 9' 489 N.H. with my 560. no load at all.

its the slowness of the T.A. that comes in handy in heavy hay but it dont take any more power. as i am also sure a w-6 will have no trouble either, nor a farmall M. long as you have a good pto to run it. hyd. is only for lifting up and down nothing to that.

i had to look it up as you said 38 h. p. its 28 drawbar and 34 pto. 3 cyl diesel short stroke so you dont want to be in soft ground and heavy
hay might have to give it a kick in the azz. other than that should do it.

My 1956 ford 960 runs a New Holland 488
just fine.

hanks everyone for the replies. By the time I finished doing the research the add had been taken down. Was kind of thinking it would be nice to have PS and faster hydraulics than my current workhorse which is a 1961 MF65 which has worked well for the past 30 years for me and is also, like me (age 77) wearing out and heading for replacement parts like clutch and brakes.
