Hydraulic oil price check

I paid 70.34 dollars per 5 gallon pail of JD Hy Gard this morning at the area JD dealer. I purchased two pails. Just wondering how that stacks up against what others are paying. I was at the area Case IH store and noted a 5 gallon pail was around 100 dollars.

$79.50 for 5 gallons of Hytran from the Case dealer yesterday. Shop rate for resealing a steering motor was $98 an hour

I bought some Mobil equivalent a lot cheaper last year, but now I don't think I dare use it in our JD 4600, it required low-vis HY Gard, and I don't think I want to chance it. I've changed it twice in 18 years, always used Hy Gard, so I probably will bite the bullet when the time comes. The tractor has been flawless in 1300 hours of use.

Here you go SV. This came with a bunch of other shop manuals I bought at an auction last weekend. I know how much you like Fiat so I instantly thought of you.

I am paying $25.00 for 303 but it is not going in a tractor, it goes in the car hoist.

Depending on amount used it may be cheaper by the barrel. That is how we buy all our oils. Usually much cheaper than by pail. Engine oil is about 400 something a barrel and hytran compatable is similar.
