Yesterday, by the time I learned they had my steering wheel, was too late to go for it. So this morning I broke out the '64 F 100 for the trip to TSC. Got there and they did have a wheel,so all is good!
Now the rest of the story, I paid on line with paypal I paid $ 39.99 plus tax=42.99 OK? Box the wheel was in was marked $62.99 ,so I came out ahead and also it fit!! joe
 
I bought a trailer jack from tsc a while back. It was the same deal. Cheaper to pay online and pick up than just going to the store.

I do the same thing with Advance auto. I can get 20 to 25% off by paying online and picking up.
 
I dont exactly understand it either but I echo Jeff's comment on Advance Auto Parts. Go on line, order the part, take the 20-25% discount offered, go to the store and pick it up once they notify you it is there. One caveat, sometimes the website will tell you to call the store before it lets you order the part. You need to do that.
 
Another trick with Advance Auto that I found quite by accident is to browse a part but don't buy it right away. Next day or so you you will get an email and the part will have a reduced price.
 
If you sign up for their perks rewards program you can get an additional discount. Usually they give $5 off the next order but it depends on the amount you just spent. I bought $80 worth of stuff and got a $10 perks reward for the next order in addition to the 25% off. Trick is to order enough to use the perks and then order again to use another one. As long as you have a $39 order they will ship it free to your home. Some items they will even bring to your door the same day you order.
