Paid $25 for a napa 44" kevlar belt. You can get the same blue color belt for half
the price.  Anybody have experience with other than kevlar belts?

I've been buying all my belts from Vbeltsupply.com for years. Great delivery service, great product and knowledgeable people to talk to. Give them a try, you'll like them.

recently bought a 5l440 for under $3. Working fine so far. It was not kevlar.

I bought a couple of top of the line v belts from Napa over the winter. I did not shop around much AND I also wanted a really good belt because it is a real pain to replace, so I want it to last a long time, AND I was in a bit of a hurry. I was surprised how expensive the Napa belts were.

What isn't expensive at NAPA, they've gotten to be my source of last resort due to their prices.

I bought a new Toro mower and broke three belts before it had 8 hours on it even though I was picking up every little twig I could find and pampering it. I was about to get rid of the mower and someone here suggested a Kevlar belt so I ordered one off ebay and haven't had a problem with belt in a couple years. Might be a good mower if I could get rid of everything else Toro brand on it.

yeah. they've gotten pretty high. they used to have 10% off if you order and pay online and pick it up but now it seems to be the same price as going into the store.

there are some things at Napa that are better quality. it seems anyway.

like i need a new fuel pump for my 312-8 wheel horse. you can go for the Kohler at $130 and up or a napa at $200 or a china made one for $16 that will last between 1 hour and 1 year. the napa one looks like the only thing even remotely close to the quality of the Kohler pump.
