Got them all out!

Our town celebration is normally held on Father's Day weekend. As part of that I host a small one day tractor show.
Our county Fair is normally in Mid-July. They also have a display of antique tractors.
This year both of those events, as well as most others in our area, have been cancelled due to the virus, leaving nothing left for us to do with our tractors. This didn't seem right, so yesterday I got mine out and lined them up in our yard. Several people have already driven by and commented on them. Plus my wife put the picture on Facebook, and has gotten favorable comments. A couple people have even asked if they could stop in and have a closer look.

This also happened to be the first time in several years that I'd actually had all of them running. Usually there are at least a couple that don't get ran for various reasons. So it was reason to celebrate.

Nice collection!. You mentioned people
stopping by. Every year over Memorial
weekend we get a tractor out and park it
out by the road for people to see. This
year it was our 22-36 IHC which most
know is pretty common and it doesn't attract
much attention at a show. We live on a
TWP road and don't have a lot of traffic.
A LOT more people stopped or slowed down
to look than ever look it over at a show
and usually meet some nice people. I am
getting to where I like doing it better
than shows, less hassle.

nice. I did that the day of our Spring show the end of April, I just couldn't see a Spring without a tractor show.

Very impressive collection. I would not see any harm in having a mini show with a few rules regarding group size and personal space. Most people who are interested in this showing would gladly accept social sistance rules to be able to see the collection. I would.

I have recommended on here a couple of times that an announced yard "art" tractor show would be fun on a Saturday Publish a map, use a few cut hay fields, and sit back and talk tractors with those who show interest. Being out doors, and not a flee market grab fest, distances could be maintained.
Yours and their reception is ideal. Putting more than one family's collection in the same field would preserve some location security as to where they are stored. As pointed out in the media, we are not out of the woods on the nnalert-19 issue. Many of us are in the category of "well experienced at life", and are at added risk. Jim

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!

As far as maintenance, it's an ongoing thing. Already this year I've replaced a couple batteries, fixed a couple leaky tires, had a mag worked on, plus some other minor things. Several of them have other issues right now that need some attention. I had fallen behind on some of this stuff and am trying to get caught up. It's always something, as you all know.

Here are a couple more pictures.

Wow!

That is impressive!

Maybe you could start a "tractor of the week" and tell the story of each one!

In your spare time of course! LOL

Again I say - Wow. You can be very proud of that collection. Thanks for the display - it does take some work.

Very nice looking line up for sure... I like that fact that it isn't all one color, and they aren't all new paint and shine.. I like the working clothes finish.

Looks nice. Alot of work to get them all out if they have not been regularly used. A small fortune in
batteries too ! lol. Maybe you just transferred a few batteries around ?

RICH: I've been by your place many times and have seen some of your collection over the years at the local parade and shows, Really nice!
I even talked with you a couple of times. I have a 1957 445 also it's an Industrial and quite a beast

There's a 40' x 60' pole building barely visible behind the bushes in the background where most of them sleep. The Quonset type shed in the front will also hold a couple. My shop is in part of that building. In the winter I rent storage off site for some of the trucks. If I do that I can get the tractors all inside. In the summer when the trucks are home there is usually a tractor or two that sits out--plus my good pickup!! LOL

Derm, good to hear from you! It's been a while since we've talked. I didn't realize you had a 445. Stop in sometime!

That's a darn nice collection. Must take a lot to keep them all
running. I have enough trouble with the four I have.

Rich, It is commendable that you keep that many running all by yourself! Or do you have a couple full time staff to help?

Local man has had a tractor show for many years. No more last year in a weeks time there 2 serious car wrecks within 1/2 mile of his drive way. People died in both of
them. It seems in both cases cell phone use involved one girl was texting and ran a stop sign. I don't think she got hurt but a couple of people were killed their
motor home burned.

That is quite the collection! and to have them all running at one time! my hat is off to you, sir!

Keeping one going is going to be enough of a job for me.
