We had a problem with the starter engaging and broke that fine new cushioned drive to pieces when dad wad starting it. So after putting in a new drive I put a smaller cable on. I think it was like about 4or 6 gage. It starts fine with less impact to the starter gear. dad was afraid it would cause problems with starting at first now it is not a problem to him since it has been on there for a few years. George in TH was the one that gave me the idea as he did that to a cub for the same reason.
