Not to nitpick, but it’s vintage combining I think....

Not familiar with that make or style of combine tho, with such an offset header.

Paul

Very impressive symmetry, and choreography. Every unit is nearly identical to the next, and lined up perfectly. Baldwin brothers' Gleaner comes to mind first, but other companies were using galvanized steel also, I think.

Looks like a JD G pulling that first combine. But what are those "flags" for? One going right, next on left...??? IaLeo

aybe hopper fill?

I can’t tell, but if all those tractors are G’s, they would need a
fuel truck on standby!

The unloading augers look to be new, probably Hesston conversions. I think that is how they got into business.

Yea, those combines just slid the grain out like a gravity box, into a low wagon. The augers dot stand out.

I wonder what the yield was, for those small grain tanks.

The work and man hours for the yields back in the day......

Now JD released the new combine, 31 acres of wheat in an hour?

Paul

Probably was a corporate staged picture for investment brochures. Post WW2, late forties?? And why did they need a rider on the combine?
Leo

If it took a JD G to pull or power those combines, they probably were burning cheaper distallate (sp). Leo
