I have a 1992 Ford 445C backhoe. My husband bought it new in 1992. It is a 4 WD. The machine was stored in a barn when not in use and is in great shape except it has been sitting for awhile and now the brakes are sticking. Also, the tach does not work. Someone offered me $13,000 but I don't know if that is a good price. Any thoughts??

Price depends on a lot of things such as tires, leaks, hours, wear on the buckets and pins and bushings, hours, cab or not, etc.
I would say his offer is in the the zone.
When you take photos of a rig like that park it in the sunlight and take your photos with your back to the sun - so we can actually see some details on it.

Did your husband have an International 656 that he sold a few years ago? That tractor and building looks familiar.

If that's the tractor I'm thinking of it's a real nice low hour machine and it looked like he took good care of it. At the time he had a box blade on the back, and it didn't have quite enough traction to pull the 656 up on my trailer.

I have not ever seen a backhoe like that one. Looks like it was some sort of low profile model to be able to drive right into a building. I have followed your post before and seen your ad. I remember it had low hours so it should be a nice unit. I'm sure it would make someone a nice machine. I would even like to own it myself ,but I would not really use it much. A machine is only worth what someone will give. I would have a hard time justifying paying that much for it as I can by a little larger model ( likely not in as nice of shape )with a flat operator platform for a lot less money that will do the same work. That does not sound like a bad offer ,but a fair offer.
